It's always a treat to see Robert Redford on screen and particularly so with the elusive and remarkable Julie Christie. A public interest lawyer's world is turned upside down when a brash young reporter exposes his true identity as a former 1970s antiwar radical fugitive wanted for murder. After living for more than 30 years underground, he must now go on the run. With the FBI in hot pursuit, he sets off on a cross-country journey to track down the one person that can clear his name. Robert Redford makes a welcome return to double-duty as director and lead actor in this clear-eyed drama about a former Weather Underground radical forced to reconcile with the past. - Hollywood Reporter

The stars of this darkly provocative film give riveting and suspenseful performances. After India's father dies in an auto accident, her Uncle Charlie, who she never knew existed, comes to live with her and her emotionally unstable mother. Soon after his arrival, she comes to suspect this mysterious, charming man has ulterior motives, but instead of feeling outrage or horror, this friendless girl becomes increasingly infatuated with him. A hothouse of erotic tension that's primed to explode...a thriller of savage beauty. - Rolling Stone
